Forget the ill fitting suits that you’ve worn for Secondary school and JC proms; you just need that one well-tailored suit to take you through all the major events of your life.
Here’s a round up of the places you can head to in Singapore to get that perfect suit.
If you like this post, do also check out this post here for ideas in choosing that suit colour.
1) Benjamin Barker
The trouble of going to different places to get intricate accessories (especially for guys) is solved.
If you really want to stand out from the crowd, you can also choose to add finishing touches such as grosgrain ribbons to complete your look.
As the name suggest, this place is suit heaven.
Worried that you will find the next guy at the event wearing the same suit?
Fret not, this is Suitsupply’s second outlet in Asia.
The brand originates from Amsterdam. Most importantly, the suits are priced very reasonably.
A nice touch – in-house alteration service – the feature that stands out from the rest of the pack.
3) Suit Select
Not to be confused with the above (Suitsupply), Suit Select is the Japanese’s way of showing you how things are done in the minimalistic way.
The Japanese suit maker offers ready-made suits if the entire tailor made process is too much for you to take in. A big plus point, this Asian brand will fit Singaporeans better.
The layout of the store also makes it a pleasant experience.
Before you head down and immerse yourself in the hundreds of styles of shirts, pants and suits (which I am sure you will be able to find something you fancy), note that they carry two main collections.
One being the Black Line, which is more modern, and the Silver line which leans towards the classics.
4) Boggi Milano
Last but not least on the list, when it comes to suits; you cannot leave out the Italians.
This high-end menswear brand is a ready-to-wear label but they do offer alterations to help your purchase fit better.
Known for their paisley, floral and polka dotted styles, it will be the perfect place to find you stand out suit.
It will help if you talk to an in-store assistant to help you make the best decision.
Good luck on suit hunting!
