Believe it or not, watch is one of the first things people notice when you meet with them. That said, watch contributes greatly to your men’s fashion style.
There are plenty of watch shops in Singapore selling men’s watches. From your neighbourhood watch shops to heartland mall, we have to say that watch supplies are pretty much in check.
“ The challenge here is finding something you like and at the best possible price you can get for something authentic! “
Watch shops along the Neighborhood area usually makes their business selling watch services like watch repair services, watch battery replacement services and once in a while selling a colorful kid’s watch or golden color Casio watch to the elderly staying around that area.
Heartland malls are usually dominated by big chain stores like City Chain and Vincent watch.
The former (City Chain) run discounts on selected items on a regular basis and the latter (Vincent watch) are more ‘negotiable’ on pricing. However, the discounted items are usually on the designs that are ‘not moving’, and there is only so much flexibility in the discounts the shops can give due to the high rental cost in these malls.
That said, if you are hard working enough to ask around and consistently look out for promotions, you might be able to clinch a deal or two.
You can also do the same online by keeping a look out for promotions or sales on e-commerce sites (covered below).
In today’s post, we will cover some of the places we shop for low to mid range pricing watches like Armani Exchange, Skagon, Emporio Armani, G-shock, Michael Kors, Nixon, Marc By Marc Jacobs, as well as some other alternatives to find watches that are more unique.
Some of these places and shops also carry GPS watches for runners and divers at low market rate pricing.
Note: This post does not include high-end luxury watches like Rolex, Panerai, Patek Philippe, Bell and Ross.

If you are going by train, alight at Bugis station or City Hall station (Bras Basah is in the middle).
If you are on Circle line, then alight at Bras Basah, but it’s actually more difficult to navigate from Bras Basah.

Prestige Times is located beside Cheers (conveniently located very near the ATM).
Prestige Times has been around in Singapore for one of the longest time and has very good reputation for service and price. Although the shop looks kind of run-down and the friendly staff might somehow make the shop come off as slightly dodgy, make no mistakes they are authorized resellers of the brands they carry. They don’t do marketing and are not located in a high traffic mall but thrive through positive word-of-mouth.
Try to look for the lady boss (shoulder hair length lady in specs) or a short hair Malaysian girl.
If you already have something in mind, go ahead and ask to take a look at the watch, try them on, ask for the price and discount flexibility.
If you have no idea, simply get the lady to help suggest something within your budget, style and preference.
Note: They close early (7pm), so do drop by earlier to allow time for negotiation and payment where they need to fill in the warranty form etc. Kwang Guan Watch Pte Ltd (located right behind them) also belong to theirs.
Tips: Always be prepared to pay by cash so you can get the best price when negotiating.
Unit: #01-39 | Tel: +65 6337 7151
Opens daily 10am – 7.30pm
Also check out Hing’s Watch (beside Kwang Guan Watch) for SevenFriday watches and GPS watches from Suunto.
Bonus Tips: For classic Casio watches, try walking along that same block Prestige is located in as they offer better price generally. The price they offer can also be used as a base when you negotiate at Prestige.
>> Address: 180 Bencoolen Street, Singapore 189646
Bencoolen is another place that is famous for cheap watches that is legit (there are a few shops selling luxury watches as well but we will not be covering that in this post).
Bencoolen is located opposite OG at Bugis (near Sim Lim Square).
The easiest way to find their store is to walk across Bugis Street from Bugis MRT, and head towards the famous Si Ma Lu Temple. Before reaching the temple, you should be able to see the building.
Upon entering, you will immediately see a number of watch shops. From there you can start looking around and compare pricing.
Do note that pricing listed is not the selling price, go ahead and ask the staff for the best price (most of them are friendly if you ask tactfully).
Here are a few of the more famous ones:

Lucky Plaza is located in town but yet there are a few shops here that sell their watches at reasonably cheap price (depending on model).
Unit: #B1‐128 | Tel: +65 6732 7673
On top of the international brands, All Watches is also the exclusive distributor of Swiss watch brands like Ernest Borel, Davosa and Rotary.
Unit: #B1-125 | Tel: +65 6734 1096
House Of Times is also a good place to look for Sports watches like Suunto, Polar and Garmin.
Unit: #B1-71 | Tel: +65 6235 3377
Sea-Land Sports is also the authorized reseller for GoPro and you can find all GoPro models and accessories. This is also a famous place for divers to buy their diving watches and wide range of diving gears like wetsuit, Mask, BC, Fins and Regulators.
Note: Do make sure you have an idea of the price of the watch you intend to buy.
Lucky Plaza is known for ‘slaughtering’ ignorant shoppers and hence although some of the watch models might be cheaper than outside, some might cost even higher. Do some homework before dropping by.
Tips: Most of the cologne sells cheaper than outside. Do also make sure you’ve done some homework on the market price and do spend some time shopping a few shops.
Nearest MRT: Farrer Park Station
>> Address: Little India, 145 Syed Alwi Rd, Singapore 207704

Mustafa complex is a 7 storeys high building with 4 storeys of parking. More importantly, they operate 24 hours everyday.
Watches wise, they carry a range of low to mid-range watches (like Casio, Swatch, Tissot, Tag Heuer) at affordable prices.
Bonus: Before leaving, drop by their cologne section to grab a good buy or two (Brands like Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Davidoff, Calvin Klein).
If after all that shopping and you still can’t decide on which model to buy, or you still feel you didn’t get the best price, perhaps you can try your luck at these e-commerce stores.
Most of these e-commerce sites are covered in our extensive post here, but here are the few of the best with quite a good collection of men’s watches.
ASOS is one of our top favorite (if not THE top favorite) e-commerce sites. ASOS carries a wide range of watches from popular brands namely – Armani Exchange, Ben Sherman, Boss Orange, Emporio Armani, G-shock, Hugo Boss, Marc By Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors – to name a few.
The also have their own house brand minimalist watches by ASOS that is very reasonably priced.
Zalora is a well-known site in Singapore and similar to ASOS, they carry a wide range of product categories and brands like Fossil, Braun, Casio, Adidas and Diesel.
Amazon doesn’t need much introduction; they carry almost every brand under the sun. Do note to select the filter when you search to see only items that ships to Singapore.
Amazon offers free shipping to Singapore for purchases above $140.
Quite a lot of people also buy their watches from Lazada. While you might be able to find a good deal here and there, some of their items are actually more expensive and do look out for parallel import items as they might be cheaper but do not come with local warranty.
Tips: Google for Lazada online promotion code/ coupons as they do run such promotion very often (i.e. Bank credit card promos).
For more indie watches like the Bradley Watches, Daniel Wellington, Hypergrand and ZIIIRO Watches, you can consider checking out HipVan.
HipVan usually runs promotion and online price mark down so you can get some really great discounts for stylish watches.
Famous for localized brands and items, Naiise also carries a range of watches from Indie brands like Forrest, Divided By Zero, Chi and Chi, Lima Watch.
Similar to Naiise, Megafash also carries a range of indie brands watches like Project watches, NAVA, Second Skill, N.IX, and TokyoBay.
As promised, the ultimate strategy we always use to get the best price……
That is to simply head down to Bencoolen and find out the best deal and head over to Prestige Times at Bras Basah and use that price as a base pricing to negotiate.
The interest thing is that they almost always are able to offer lower than the pricing we got at Bencoolen.
And Bras Basah is well within walking distance from The Bencoolen.
